Madison Co. (10-0) vs Union Co. (6-4)

Offense: Run Heavy

Strengths: Run game

Weaknesses: Turnovers/Defense

The Tigers have an opportunistic offense that can catch opposing defenses off guard and can make the occasional big play.

Led by 1,000 yard rusher Charles Strong (1,388 yards) who is averaging 175 yards per game, The Tigers will have to get a huge effort from quarterbacks Brian Scott and Dawson Johns to help sustain drives.

Defensively the Tigers have kept the team competitive in close games but have had trouble against the pass.

Taylor Co. vs Newberry (3-6)

Offense: Run Heavy

Strengths: Run game

Weaknesses: Secondary/Turnovers

In their previous matchup, the Bulldogs capitalized on 6 Panther turnovers in a dominating 46-15 win.

On offense Tresell Curtis and Parnell Sylvester lead the way for Newberry’s ground attack. The duo have combined for a 1,000 yards on the year.

On defense the Panthers have had success when their offense is effective, but are prone to giving up too many big plays.

Rickards (6-4) at West Florida (9-1)

Offense: Well Balanced

Strengths: RB/QB

Weaknesses: Defending the run

West Florida would love to avenge last years 3 point 2nd round loss to the Raiders and their high-powered offense might just be the thing.

The Jags are led by QB Trevor Jordan (1,654 yards) and bruising RB Devin Abrams (1,006) in a well balanced offense that features a lot of screen and swing passes.

On defense West Florida has a “no-fly-zone” secondary with 10 team interceptions. At times they’ve struggled agains the run giving up big plays.

Wakulla (8-2) at Ribault (6-3)

Offense: Pass Heavy

Strengths: D-line/Athleticism

Weaknesses: O-line

The Ribault Trojans are 5-0 in a reasonably talented district. With a tough and physical defensive front, the Trojans have wreaked havoc on their opponents.

The Trojans are led by WR Mike McCray, WR Chris Channell and Dual-threat QB Jhamaal Marsh. The trio have lead the team to a 6-3 record.

On offense Ribault has plenty of talent but the line has trouble keeping the quarterback protected.

Wakulla 28, Ribault 12
