Its not often that North Florida Christian Eagles suffer a loss at home, but for the upstart Marianna Bulldogs leaving Eagle field without a win simply wasn’t an option. Marianna used a dominating running attack to pound out a 21-13 win against an NFC team that kept things close until the late in the ball game. Marianna was lead by RB Quatre Couch who rushed for 165 yards, while QB Anton Williams threw for 194 yards and a score.

NFC missed the efforts of standout WR Christian Philpott who sat out most of the game with an injury, but that didn’t stop the Eagles from keeping the game close. NFC was within striking distance of a potential tying score, but a would be touchdown pass was ruled out of bounds. Eagle RB Korey Charles ran for 115 yards in the home loss.

Next up for NFC will be a trip out to Monticello to face Jefferson Co. while Marianna will be at home against Chiles.
