4Q GAMENIGHT: Final @ Eagle Field, NFC 14 – Trinity Christian 21

4Quartersonline.com was in atttendance at Eagle Field on the NFC campus to watch the 3rd ranked Eagles take on the visiting 2nd ranked Trinity Christian Conquerors in a class 1A district battle. The officials were celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month by using Pink Whistles in the game.

On a rainy night, both teams relied on their ground games to power their offenses. Trinity Christian scored first on a 45 yard run by RB #26 R. Knight early in the 2nd quarter. NFC responded with a score of their own to tie the game just before halftime, with a clock eating drive that ended with a 2 yard touchdown run by Eagle RB #20 W. Hart.

Final Score: Godby Cougars 48 – Pace Patriots 28

After a back-and-forth 1st half, the Godby Cougars took a commanding lead over the Pace Patriots. Godby RB #26 L. Johnson and QB # 10 D. Andrews had banner nights with 80 yard rushing scores between them.

Also in on the action were Cougar WR’s #8 C. St. Hilaire and #4 J. Murray. The Patriots tried to hang on in the 2nd half by adding two late scores, but the high-powered Cougar offense was too much.

East Gadsden takes the first annual Superintendent’s Cup over West Gadsden, 21 – 0

In the battle for the First annual Superintendent’s Cup! The East Gadsden Jaguars defeated the West Gadsden Panthers at Jaguar Stadium. The Jaguars were first on the board, taking a 7 – 0 lead on the Panthers midway through the first quarter, and cruised to a 21 – 0 victory.
