4Quatersonline visited with Clint Tricket at NFC’s passing league last Thursday .Last season, Clint threw for 2,400 yards for 24 touchdowns, made 8 interceptions and rushed for 400 yards. He is one of Florida’s hottest prospects. In between 7 on 7 games, we had a chance to chat about the recruiting process and his upcoming season.
Q. What schools have extended you an offered so far?
A. I have 10 offers right now, Arkansas, Louisville, South Florida, Western Kentucky,
Western Michigan , South Alabama, Central Michigan, Florida International,
Colorado State and South Alabama.
Q. Have you visited any schools yet?
A. I have unofficially visited and camps of Louisville and Tulsa. They did extend offers; My Dad and I are going to Arkansas on Sunday.
Q. When you visit a school what are you looking for?
A. I’m looking at the coach and how he interacts with players and his offensive style. I also would like to play at a BCS school .
Q. What style of offense are you looking to play in?
A. I can play in any system; but prefer drop back pro style. I have also done some zone
read, I’m no Pat White but, I’m ok.
Q. How much influence will your father have in your decision?
A. He will have as much influence as any father would; but he knows that this is my
decision. I’m also going to listen to him because he has been in the game for 37 years.
I’d be stupid not to listen to him.
Q. Is FSU involved with you in anyway and have they expressed an interested?
A. Not really; but that’s OK. I didn’t want to play for my dad anyway. It would be kind
of tough.
Q. In your opinion, are you guys going to win the state championship again?
A. We are going to try. We will take it one game at a time. We have got to stay focused.
We definitely have the ability and a lot of people on offense and defense are
returning. We will see.

The Lincoln Trojans made it all the way to the state finals last season: lead on defense by senior linebacker, Mark Wilson. The up and coming senior lead the team with 120 tackles, 7 sacks, 1 interception and 9 tackles for loss. The numbers he put up last season garnered attention from college football programs across the country. Last week Wilson chose The University of Illinois over USF, Arkansas, Indiana, Ole Miss , and Southern Miss. “ I chose them because of the chance to play early. Coach (Dan Disch) recruited me and told me I could make an impact early if I work hard” said Wilson.
This past spring college scouts rolled in the office of newly appointed head coach of the Lincoln Trojans, Yusef Shakir, asking about talented seniors. Defensive specialist Mark Wilson (6-2 225) was one of the standouts. He has the size and speed that make college coaches drool at the opportunity to have him as a part of their arsenal. Wilson benches over 330 pounds, runs a 4.6 40 yard dash and attacks ball carriers as if they “stole” his lunch.
